COOK, Ernest R.G. - The death of Ernest R.G. Cook of Hampton, husband of Marion (Chambers) Cook occurred August 14, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was born in England, son of the late William and Elizabeth (Digance) Cook. He served overseas form 1939 - 1959 with the Royal Canadian Navy. Following his retirement from the navy he was a clerk with the D.V.A. for twenty one years. He was a member of Hampton Branch 28, Royal Canadian Legion, and a former member of Hampton Curling Club and Hampton Golf Club. Surviving besides his wife Marion are four sons Anthony (Debbie) and Daniel Cook, Hampton, Arthur Chambers, Hampton, Terry Misner, Richmond, BC; four daughters Bonita De'Ambrose (Brian), Loretta Ferguson (James Jr.), Gloria Cook, all of Hampton and Cheryl Lynn Weldon (Graham), Halifax; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Resting at Reid's Funeral Home (832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, with visiting 2-4pm and 7-9pm Tuesday. The funeral will be held Tuesday, 1:00pm, at Reid's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wally Collett officiating. Interment in Hampton Rural Cemetery. Memorials to Hampton Cenotaph Fund would be appreciated. A Legion tribute will be held Wednesday, 6:45pm, at the funeral home.
