In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
HUGHES, Leslie C. - Les is survived by his brother Norman Hughes (Vancouver). Predeceased by his wife Alice, and son Wayne. Les was born in Trail BC and chose a career path of service. Initially the Royal Canadian Navy, where he was decorated in the Korean War. Following the Navy, Les joined the Saanich Police Department where he retired. Les loved nothing more than skippering his sloop "Sunbreeze". He met many dear friends during his retirement years in Sidney, plus on his adventures through Coastal Northern BC.
