MULLINS, James Randolph - It is with sadness that we mourn the loss of James Randolph Mullins, in his 92nd year, He died peacefully just before cocktail hour on July 15, 2021, at Joseph Brant Hospital after a short illness.

Jim was the beloved husband of Sheila for 44 years. Loving father to Mark (Carrie) and loving stepfather to Jane (Brad). Cherished Grandpa / Papa to Jeremy (Aye Mya), Torrin (Robin), Pamela, Gregory (Erin), and David (Sara). Much loved GG to little Carrie, Kade, and Austin. Husband of many years to Mary. Jim was predeceased by his parents, Stan and Louise, as well as his sister Lois.

Jim lived life to the fullest. He was a champion local tennis player, represented Florida in the national over-65 team tennis championships, hit five holes-in-one in golf, took joy in cruising the world, and enjoyed his summer home on Howe Island and his winters in Florida.

Jim often spoke fondly of his childhood, where he would cycle to his grandfather's farm to spend summers during the war years helping to drive the horses in the field. As a young adult, Jim was an officer in the Royal Canadain Navy during the Korean War. He was a successful stock broker and investment manager, and was a founder and builder of the then - Burlington Racquets Club.

Our thanks to Reta Wood (cousin) for her care and dedication, as well as to the staff at Joseph Brant to make Jim's last days as comfortable as possible. Cremation has taken place, and a private family Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. (The Hamilton Spectator 17 Jul 2021)
