In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
NEVILLE, Judson Wellington - It is with very heavy hearts our family announces the passing of Jud on June 1, 2021 at the age of 71. Surrounded by love from his family, Jud will surely be welcomed by his best friend and wife Alice, who passed in 2017. Jud's loyalty and devotion never faded for his children Joseph (Natasha), Thomas (Jennifer), Steven (Shawna), and Patricia (Kristopher). Grampy will be missed by several grandchildren who he incredibly admired. He is survived by sisters Beverly and Linda, as well as niece and nephews. Jud will truly be missed by many other friends and family from all parts of Canada. In addition to his immediate family and friends, Jud had another family and love, and that was a part of his career in the Canadian Armed Forces. He served his country for thirty-eight years and had an exemplary career. He served all three branches Navy, Army and Air Force at home and abroad. During his career he developed many friendships that would evolve into much more. Friends became family and he would refer to people as "She is like a sister to me" or "He is like a brother to me". He will especially be missed by his Comrades-in-Arms that he considered as family. In keeping with Jud's wishes, cremation has taken place. Private family arrangements have been entrusted to Pleasantview Funeral Home, Fonthill (905-892-1699). For those who wish, donations made in his memory to The Hope Center or Royal Canadian Legion (Welland branch) would be greatly appreciated. (St. Catharines Standard 04 Jun 2021)
