James W. Pepper Arden

Born: 1918

 

Died: 11 Apr 2021, Port Alberni, British Columbia

 

ARDEN, James W. Pepper - passed away peacefully on April 11, 2021 at Fir Park Place in Port Alberni. Jim lived most of his life in Port Alberni and Sooke, BC. He was born at Sheringham Point Lighthouse, where his parents Eustace and Annie Arden lived with their children. Jim was quite an accomplished businessman in Logging and Forestry around much of lower BC. In his youth he was a Chief Petty Officer in the Electrical Division of the Navy. Jim was also a very active member of his community in both Port Alberni and in Sooke. Jim is predeceased by his loving wife, Elsie Beatrice Arden (Willem) and he was the last remaining of his siblings; Francis Sullivan, Philip Arden, Sturdy Arden, Winnie Michelsen, and Richard Arden. Jim is survived by many nieces and nephews as well, grand-nieces and nephews. Jim will be remembered fondly by the countless friends and acquaintances he and Elsie met along the way of the long and adventurous life that they shared. With Covid Restrictions in place at this time and the foreseeable future a funeral or a celebration of life will be determined at a later date. (Victoria Times Colonist 05 Jun 2021)
