HYNES, Raymond Edward - of Chester Grant, passed away peacefully in Camp Hill Veterans' Memorial Build ing, QEII, Halifax. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Earnest Hynes and Mable Pieroway. Raymond is survived by daughter, Marilyn Hynes (Tracey Huff), Ontario; sons, Brian Hynes, Marie Joseph; and Jerry Hynes (Leeann Edwards), Boutiliers Point; grandchildren, Melissa (Dan), Kristopher (Kristen), Jakob, Gabriel, Michael (Devon), Leah (Corey), Haley, Christopher, Brandon, Morgan and Tanner and eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Barbra Companion of 54 years and partner, Eva Fowler. Raymond was a veteran of the CF for 33 years, Auxillary member of the RCMP and was employed at King's County Correctional Centre for 15 years. He loved trout and salmon fishing throughout the years and his summer home in Newfoundland. He was an avid hunter as well. Ray loved a good game of crib and always counted your points for you. Ray was a spiritual man and attended church regularly. He loved his family and friends dearly. A special thank you to all the staff at Camp Hill for their excellent care and compassion for Ray.
