In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
FONTAINE, Real - Age 70 of Halifax, passed away January 26, 2021 in St. Vincent's Nursing Home, Halifax. Born in Montreal, he was a son of Rose and Paul Fontaine. Real was a Petty Officer in the Canadian Navy. After a 30 year Military career Real then moved onto student life and eventually spent some time as a mechanic and a commissionaire, he settled into a final relaxing retirement. He is loved dearly and will be missed by many. Surviving are daughter, Rachel Lavalee (Fontaine); sister, Colette Russell (Fontaine); brother, Denis Fontaine; six grandchildren. He was predeceased by wife, Ann; loving daughter, Crystal. Cremation has taken place. Donations in Real's memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada or Diabetes Canada.
