JENKINS, Leslie Robert (Bob) - passed away peacefully on the morning of December 24, 2020 in the comfort of his home. Bob was the second oldest of five children to Fred and Eleanor Jenkins. He was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on July 16, 1944. He grew up in the Elmwood area of Winnipeg. Bob enlisted in the Navy at seventeen where he learned a lot of lessons in responsibility. Soon after he left the Navy he moved to Brandon, Manitoba where he met his beautiful bride, Beverly. Bob and Bev married on November 12, 1966. Bob had many jobs over the years, but his proudest business venture was opening Jenkins Business Supply Ltd. in 1971. He was a businessman through and through and had a deep passion for business. Selling his business at a young age but never truly leaving his passion for business behind, Bob travelled widely and spent many months in his home in Arizona. Bob enjoyed many hobbies including golfing, fishing, traveling, summering at Clear Lake, volunteering, wood carving, and spending time with family and friends. Bob had an influence on everyone he met. He volunteered as much as possible, and did everything he could to make the world a better place for others. He loved his friends and family wholly and always let those he cared about know how much he admired and cared for them. He is survived by his wife Beverly Jenkins, daughter Tammy (David), their children Sarah (Jon), Katie (Devon), son Mark (Bobby-Jo), and their children Grace, and Maddy. A celebration of Bob's life will be held when the pandemic restrictions have lifted. Bob will be laid to rest at the Brandon Cemetery Columbarium. (Winnipeg Free Press 16 Jan 2021)
