BOUCHARD, Albert William (Bill) - passed away unexpectedly at home in Brentwood Bay, BC. Born in Victoria, Bill was raised across Canada in a military family. Bill served in the Navy for 5 years before 'setting sail' on his 39-year career with BC Ferries, retiring in 2004 as Director of Corporate Marketing. He was very active in the Victoria and BC Tourism industry; offering his insight on many boards and associations. Bill loved being a member of the Vintage Car Club, serving on the executive and participating in many car runs in his '55 Packard. He was proud of his gardening efforts, was always 'up' for coffee or lunch with friends, enjoyed cooking and loved his pets. He is survived by his wife, Brenda (Baceda); his first wife, Jean Bouchard (Fraser) and their children Cathy Larsen (Ben), Debbie Bertrand and grandchildren Erik Larsen, Nikolas Larsen, Genevieve Bertrand; his sister Jeanne Tweten; step-daughter Laurie Morrison; his lifelong friend Ray Shergold and many other special friends and family. Bill is predeceased by his sister Joan Herlihy and his second wife, Lois Bouchard (Bennett). Bill will always be lovingly remembered and missed deeply. Celebration of life will be held at a later date. (Victoria Times Colonist 15 Jan 2021)
