John Henry James enlisted in the RCNR 27 Feb 1940. Prior to enlisted he was a seaman and served in SS Lady Rodney. He was discharged from the RCNR on 26 Mar 1942 due to the onset of ALS, which resulted in his death on 29 Jan 1944 at the Camp Hill Hospital, Halifax.. He is buried in the Camp Hill Cemetery, Halifax.
