HOLLIER, Winston Edward (Win) - November 30, 1941 - January 2, 2021. On January 2nd, Ed Hollier passed away at age 79. Ed was married for 59 years to his loving wife Joan (Supple) and together they raised their children, Derrick (Anne), Dana and Michael (Louise). Ed was born in Grande Prairie, Alta., and grew up in Victoria, B.C. At age 17, he left home to start his 25-year Navy career in Nova Scotia, following that with 20 years at the Halifax Dockyard (Sail Loft). Ed was an avid bowler and loved to watch all sports, especially the Toronto Blue Jays. He also loved family gatherings where he could be seen carrying around his video camera. These videos later turned out to be gold for the family. Ed is survived by brother, Harry (Shirley); sister-in-law, Shirley (Robert) Longaphy; and brothers-in-law, Ernie (Mary Ann) and Alan (Selina). He was predeceased by sisters, Mary, Elsie and Rose; brothers, Jim and Bill; sisters-in-law, Vivian and Millie and brothers-in-law, Leo and David. Also predeceased by nephews, Kirk and Bradley Hollier and Gregory and Kevin Burns. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews from Canada and the United States. The family takes comfort that he is now reunited with his beloved daughter, Dana. A service will be held in Saint Benedict Parish, 45 Radcliffe Dr., Halifax, on Thursday January 14th at 12:15 (Halifax Chronicle-Herald 06 Jan 2021)
