THOMPSON, Kenneth George - Passed away peacefully at home with his wife by his side on Thursday, December 24, 2020 in his 84th year. Cherished husband of Joan Thompson (Minnie) for 61 years. Loving and devoted father of Michael Thompson and Michele (Fred) Kylie. Proud grandfather of Melissa (Chris), Kaitlynn (Marc), and Brittany (Tyler) and great-grandfather to Savannah. Predeceased by his parents Roy and Lillian. Brother of Bev (Nick), Bob, Glen, Julie (Wayne) and his late siblings Roy and Nancy. Ken will also be missed by "the Minnie's", and his extended family and friends. Ken was a proud navy veteran and worked for 37 years at GE in Peterborough. In his spare time Ken was an avid fisherman and loved spending time with family. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Grieve, Bev and Keith Vaillancourt, and to the team at Saint Elizabeth, especially Sarah and Angel. In keeping with Ken's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private interment will take place at Little Lake Cemetery. (Kawartha Region News 30 Dec 2020
