Died: 25 Oct 2020

 

DEEGAN, John Douglas - Doug passed away peacefully in hospital after a full life. He was born in Trail, BC, travelled the world with the navy and retired in Aldergrove, BC.

 

He lived a varied life of riding the rails as a teen, living in BC and NS while working with the navy as a radio operator and finally as a Commissioner at CFB Aldergrove, and a courier in retirement. He was an avid reader, loved watching movies, playing Scrabble and cribbage, doing crosswords and jigsaw puzzles. He had a twinkle in his eye, a great sense of humor and loved being surrounded by family.

 

He was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Patricia, his parents and younger brother, Pat. He leaves behind his three children - Rick (Kathyrn), Kelly (Kevin) and Colin (Gwynn); seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, as well as his older brother Ted (Gloria) and niece Amber. He will also be remembered by his cousins and close family friends.
