FROWLEY, Robert H. (Bob) - It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Robert "Bob" Frowley of Dartmouth, on October 11, 2020 in High Prairie, Alta. Born in Windsor, Ont. on April 19, 1931, son of Samuel and Ena. Bob spent the first 20 years of his life in Windsor. His brother Gary still resides in the area. While working at Motor Products, Bob met the one and only love of his life, Marjorie (Dupuis). They shared 67 years together until Marjorie passed away in January of 2019. They had two sons, Brian and Alan, also predeceased. His brother Bill also predeceased him. Bob joined the RCN in 1951 and retired from the navy as CPO2 in 1982. A long-time resident of Dartmouth, after the navy he worked for Saint John Naval Systems and DoneLad Naval Engineering Ltd. His treasures in life were his grandchildren, Jody (Kim) and Stacie (Craig); his great-grandchildren, Olivia, Marcus, Carli, Gillian, Isabella and great great-grandchildren, Lilly, Amelia and Tatum. Bob was easy-going and tended to make connections everywhere he went. On his daily walks, he was always eager to say hello to all he met, with his trademark "good day sir, or good day there." Bob loved to golf and to talk with his golf mates. He was a member of Hartlen Point Forces Golf Club. He always said when he had to take a power cart he would retire from golf. He kept his word, as always, and did so at the tender age of 84. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Dartmouth Funeral Home. There will be a private graveside ceremony. Bob will be interred in Pleasant Hill Cemetery beside his beloved wife Marjorie, sons Brian and Alan. Donations may be made to the Acute Care Ward of High Prairie Health Centre.
