In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
ALLEN, Charles Henry (Bert) - Age 84 years of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully in Dartmouth General Hospital on August 29, 2020. Born in Monserrat, West Indies. He was the son of the late Alfred Allen and Rebecca Greenaway. Left to mourn, with many cherished memories, are his devoted wife of 59 years, Hilda; sons, Eric and Gary; daughters, Susan and Angela; grandchildren, Jasmine, Keisha, Marcus and Brett; great-granddaughter; Alyson; sister, Helen; as well as many cousins, nephews, and nieces. Bert joined the Navy in 1955, and spent 26 years serving as a radar technician. He enjoyed spending time with his family and reading his Bible. Bert was a very generous man and loved to help anyone he could. He was a fun loving guy and loved gospel music and the Lord even more. He also liked a good debate. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Sunday, September 6th, in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service starting at 11 a.m. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, there will be a limit to how many people are allowed in the funeral home.
