Daniel Morrison

Born: 1917, Derby, England

 

Died: 23 Jan 1986, Halifax, Nova Scotia

 

MORRISON, Daniel - 68, Halifax, died Thursday in Victoria General Hospital.

 

Born in Derbyshire, England, he was a son of the late Joseph Albert and Millicent Baker-Pearce.

 

He was a veteran of the Royal Canadian Navy veterans reserve during the Second World War and a 35-year employee of the Nova Scotia Power Corporation. He was a sergeant-major in the 30 field squadron, RCE (M) and a piper in Dartmouth Legion Bag Pipe Band. He was a founding member
of the Bluenose Soaring Club. He was a member of Burns Lodge 10.

 

He is survived by his wife, the former Edna Mason; two daughters, Cordelia Dunn and Gabrielle Morrison; a granddaughter Lydia, all of Halifax.

 

The body has been cremated. Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday in St. Luke's Chapel, All Saints Cathedral, Halifax.
