PHILLIPS, Lester Elroy - 81, peacefully on the morning of Sunday, February 27, 2005, at home surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by his mother Florence and father George Weston Phillips, brothers Gordon, Russell and Alan. Survived by his wife Margaret of 47 years, three sons: Lester (Colleen) of Boundary Bay, Blair (Cindy) and Darryl (Darcy) of Ladner, five grandchildren: Seth, Weston, Kenny, Savannah and Riley. Brother Laurian Phillips (Leona) of Red Deer, AB, and an extended family of many nieces and nephews. A celebration of his life will be held in Ladner commencing at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2005 at Ladner United Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Lester's name may be made to Delta Hospital or the Delta Hospice Society. The family wishes to express our heartfelt gratitude to Delta Home Care, Delta Home Support, Delta Hospice Society, Dr. MacLean, Reverend Jim Short and the many friends and extended family whose respect and comfort has been a blessing to us all.
