BLACKBURN, Fred - passed away on October 14, 2007 at 89 years of age. Beloved husband of Helen (nee Hayes). Cherished father of Barry and wife Linda Blackburn, Brian Blackburn, Elizabeth Blackburn. Dear son of the late John and Mary Blackburn. Loving grandpa of Chrissy, Jason and Krystle. Dearest brother of Roger and wife Elaine Blackburn, the late Ellen and husband William Speirs. Brother-in-law of Bernard and Donna Godin, Bernard and the late Mary Ann Murphy and Jim Hayes. Fred was a veteran of WWII serving with the Royal Canadian Navy and a member of the RCL Branch #594. Veterans service Friday 7pm under the auspice of the Windsor Veteran Memorial Services Committee. Fred retired from Ford Motor Company. Fred loved all sports. Visiting Friday 6-9 pm. from Families First Funeral Home & Tribute Centre (969-5841) 3260 Dougall Ave. Funeral Saturday October 20 at 10 am. Cremation to follow.
