In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
MACDONALD, George R. - age 70, of Halifax. It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of a father, grandfather, and brother on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 in QEII Health Sciences Centre. He was a son of the late George and Vera MacDonald. He is survived by son, Scott (Deborah) MacDonald; grandchildren, Morgan, Stevie-lynn, Sam; and loving brother, Doug. Predeceased by son, Steve; and divorced wife, Debbie; sister, Elaine. He was a Navy Veteran who later owned and operated a courier company in Metro Halifax. He was a good father, grandfather, brother, and friend to all. He was a great baseball and hockey player in his younger years and knew his sports. He was a great guy who loved joking and having fun.....a true Northender! Cremation has taken place. No visitation by family request. A memorial service will take place at 3761 Robie St., Saint Margaret of Scotland Church at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 17th. Private interment at a later date. Family extends an invitation to join them for refreshments and sharing of memories of George.
