WRIGHT, George William - age 95, of Bridgetown, passed away February 24, 2020, in Soldiers' Memorial Hospital. Born in British Columbia on May 25, 1924, he joined the navy and fought in the Second World War, and the Korean War. After 28 years in the Navy, he retired and started a second career as a teacher at Bridgetown Regional High School, where he taught Industrial Arts and Drivers Education for many years. "Bill" as he was known, was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Marjorie. He is survived by his children, Grant (Joanne), Bridgetown; Ian (Judy), South Williamston; Karel, Bridgetown and David (Judy), Nictaux. He was very fond and proud of his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. As per his request, there will not be a service. Cremation will take place and there will be a private burial at a later date. The family wishes to express their thanks to the staff and doctors of Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, and especially to the care workers from Annapolis Valley Home Care, who helped him remain in his home for the last years.
