Died: 16 Feb 2019, Belleville, Ontario

 

CHAPMAN, James Norman (Jim) - Passed away peacefully with Evelyn by his side on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the Belleville General Hospital. Jim was born in Bath, and he joined the Royal Canadian Navy at age 17, where he was able to travel the world, followed by twelve more years with the Royal Canadian Air Force. He successfully ran a Snap-On-Tool Franchise for many years in Belleville. He loved supporting the local stock car racing. Jim was the beloved husband of Evelyn Gruber, the loving Father to Debbie DeLyser (John) Florida, Dean Chapman (Betty) Howe Island, Cheryl McKenny (Fred) Belleville, David Chapman (Diane) Belleville. He was the grandfather to Jordan (Ginger), Carley, Anna, Chapman, Nicolas (Amy), Alex Chapman, and the great grandfather to Violet, Cody, and Henley. Jim was the big brother to Patrick Chapman (Gail) of Brockville. Predeceased by parents Harold and Rita Chapman, Bath, Sisters Marie Chapman (Fred), Patricia Morgan (Bob) Kingston. Lovingly adored by many nieces and nephews and will be especially missed by his soulmate, our great niece (our Little Mended Heart Warrior) Aisling, and his dog Shadow, and Kitty. In keeping with Jim’s wishes, cremation has taken place under the care of Quinte Cremation & Burial Services, 2-205 North Front Street, Belleville (613-962-7900). A Celebration of Jim’s Life will be held at a later date. If desired, donations to Hospital for Sick Children or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
