BROOKS, Forrest Dale -  We regret to advise of the death of Leading Seaman Forrest Dale Brooks, CD (Ret’d), suddenly at home on 5 February 2019 at age 43. A native of the Eastern Townships, Forrest began his military career in the Reserves in Quebec with the Sherbrooke Hussars. He transferred to the Regular Force in 1993 with the Armoured Corps and then transferred to the Canadian Military Engineers as a Combat Engineer. Forrest served in both 1 and 2 Combat Engineer Regiments and deployed to the Former Yugoslavia. After serving ten years in the Engineers he was re-mustered into the Navy as a Boatswain (“Bos’n”) due to a back injury and served four more years before being released in 2006. There will be a Celebration of Life in Chilliwack BC on 16 March 2019 at the former 1 CER/ASU building at 5535 Korea Road starting at 4:30 pm. 1. A Celebration of Life is also being planned for the Eastern Townships in Johnville QC on 23 March 2019. More details will be provided when available.
