MacPHEE, Donald Charles - Second World War Veteran (RCN). It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Donald Charles MacPhee, at the Prince Edward Home on Tuesday, December 4, 2012, formerly of Bonshaw, in his 93rd year. Special uncle of Shirley MacNevin-Wood (Donnie); brother-in-law of Lorraine MacPhee (Clifford - deceased) and Eddie Lutz; special cousin of Abner Dewar. Survived by nieces, Mary MacPhee (Greg McKenna), Edna Younker (Rick), Marlene Gosselin (Pete); nephews, John MacPhee, Douglas MacNevin (Nancy) and Dale MacNevin (Susan); as well as numerous cousins. Predeceased by his parents, John and Edna (MacNeill) MacPhee; sisters and brothers, Mary (Lyle) MacNevin, Johnnie, Clifford, triplets Alma Lutz, Billie MacPhee and infant brother George; and half-brother, LeRoy MacNeill. Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel from where the service will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. Interment in St. Catherine's Pioneer Cemetery. If so desired, memorials to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation, St. Catherine's Pioneer Cemetery or Prince Edward Home Residents Council would be appreciated. Visiting hours Thursday from 4-7 p.m. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 30 New Haven will hold a service of remembrance for their comrade on Thursday at 6:45 p.m.
