SCOTT, Keith Leroy - Keith Scott passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at the age of 86 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years Jean Scott; children Brenda Scott (Don Friesen), Douglas Scott (Karen) and Sandra Scott (Jan Cramm); grandchildren; Christopher Friesen (Christi), Chelsea Beddoe (Tristan), Scott Friesen, Michael Scott and David Scott; brother George Scott (Muriel); numerous nieces and nephews and many more family and friends. He was predeceased by his brothers Tom and Frank Scott. Keith was born and raised on the family homestead near Woodstock, ON. When he was 17 he joined the navy and fought in WWII. After his four years of service he headed out west and eventually ended up in Alberta. He started a career in the oil and gas industry in Stettler where he met the love of his life Jean. They were married shortly thereafter and were blessed with 3 children. The oil and gas industry took him all over the Prairie Provinces but home base for the family was primarily Calgary. Keith was a long time member of the Royal Canadian Navy Veterans Reserve, the Masonic Lodge and the Al Azhar Shriners. The family would like to thank the Doctor's and Nurse's in both Emergency and Unit 81 at the Rocky View General Hospital for the excellent care they gave Keith. The family will be having a private graveside service. They are also planning a celebration of Keith's life at a later date. If friends so desire, donations may be made to either the Eastwood United Church, Innerkip-Eastwood Pastoral Care, PO Box 137, Innerkip, ON, N0J 1M0, or the Calgary Poppy Fund, #1, 4539 - 6 Street NE, Calgary, AB T2E 3Z6.
