MORAN, William Thomas - 68, Canaan Road, Lunenburg County, died July 18, 1994, in the Halifax Infirmary, Camp Hill Medical Centre. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Thomas and Lillian (Gallagher) Moran. He enlisted in the RCNVR during the Second World War. He retired from DND Dockyard as a marine fitter in 1977. He was a member of Royal Canadian Legion, Butler Branch 44, Chester and an avid sportsman, bowler, golfer and dart player. He is survived by his wife, the former Mary Murphy; daughter, Elizabeth (Mrs. Whyman Collicutt), Canaan Road; three sisters, Edna (Mrs. Calvin Nimmo), Ontario; Helen (Mrs. Harry Boutilier),Spryfield; Dorothy (Mrs. George Coggins), Lower Sackville; a grandson. A legion service will be 7 p.m. Wednesday in Davis Funeral Home, Chester. Funeral will be 9 a.m. Saturday in St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church, Chester, Rev. Brian Duggan officiating. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to any charity.
