BENSON, William Frederick - Passed away peacefully in Port Colborne on December 16, 2019 at the age of 93 years. Bill was predeceased by his beloved wife Marie (2018). Loving father of Pat of Port Colborne, Scott (Judy) of Grimsby, Kelly (John) of St. Catharines. Dear grandfather of Tyler (Chrys), Eryn (Tim), Kyle (Elizabeth), Alana (Andrew) and great-grandfather of Cara, Quynn, Greg and Elliott. Bill and Marie were married for over 70 years. They moved from Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan to Niagara in 1949. Bill was a WWII Veteran serving in the Royal Canadian Navy and worked for Consumers Gas (Enbridge) as a Regional Manager, retiring in 1987. A private family interment will be held in Oakwood Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Davidson Funeral Home, 135 Clarence St., Port Colborne. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of one's choice. (Niagara Falls Review 19 Dec 2019)
