Died: 23 Dec 2019

FRALICK, Earl Joseph - It is with the deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of Earl Joseph Fralick age 81 in the early hours of December 23, 2019. He will be remembered with so much love by his wife, Francine; by his sister, Jane Sampson (Alex) and their children Tammy and Neil; and by his brother, Barry. Earl was predeceased by his son, Brian; and by his grandson, Emmett. He leaves behind his children, Alan, Paul (Ruby), Ann Forbes (Scott), Lynn (Peter Malcovich); and his grandchildren, Shannon, Shaun, Evan, Darren Wile, Gregory Wile, and Rosalie. His nephews, Noah, Jonas, Ebon (Linda), Johann and their parents, Anne-Frances and Greg will always carry with them delightful memories of being in Earl's company. Earl was a born musician who, in his musicianship, strived always to be true to the music. His was a long and varied career. As an adolescent, he provided music for musicals at St. Patrick's High School, local events and churches. In young adulthood, he was in the cast of Frank's Bandstand and Singalong Jubilee. For many years, Earl was a member of the Stadacona Band of Maritime Forces Atlantic and a music arranger for The Nova Scotia International Tattoo. He was active in local theatre and served as musical director for several Nova Scotia Drama League productions and also as musical director of the Gilbert and Sullivan Society. Later in his career, he was a music instructor in the Department of Music, Dalhousie University. In all his many endeavours, he was unfailingly generous with his knowledge and skill. There will not be a visitation nor a service. If you have worked with Earl or if you have enjoyed his music, you have already celebrated his life. If so inclined, you may make a donation to Parkinson Canada. (Halifax Chronicle-Herald 28 Dec 2019)
