PARSONS, Roy James - Westmouth, Roy James Parsons, 33, of 45 Braemar Drive, Westmount, died Saturday in St. Rita Hospital, Sydney. Born in North Sydney, he was a son of the late Ronald and Rita (Horwood) Parsons. He was a physcial education instructor at the Canadian Forces Radar Base, Sydney. He was a member of St. John's Anglican Church, North Sydney. Surviving are his wife, Pearl Flynn; a daughter, Karl Ann, at home; a brother, Melvin, Halifax; two sisters, Marlene (Mrs. Frank Myles), Pictou and Lynn, North Sydney; step-mother, Mrs. Margaret Parsons, North Sydney; three step-sisters, Mabel, Melvina and Annie, all of Rose Blanche, Nfld; four nieces and two nephews. He was predeceased by a infant brother. The remains are resting in W. J. Dooley Funeral Home, North Sydney. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. John's Anglican Church, with interment in Lakeside cemetery. (The Evening News, Monday, 24 Jan 1983 / Researched by George Newbury)
