Morley Wessenly Chandler

 

Died: 22 Nov 1993, Windsor, Nova Scotia

 

CHANDLER, Morley Wessenly - 79, Mount Uniacke, formerly of Scotts Bay, Kings County, died November 22, 1993, in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Tantallon, he was a son of the late Ira and Sadie (Swallow) Chandler. He spent his earlier years in the Parrsboro area. He served with the navy during the Second World War from 1939-45. He farmed in Scotts Bay for many years and taught industrial arts at Central Kings Rural High School for 15 years. He is survived by his wife, the former Myrtle (McKenzie) Flaherty; son, James, Centreville, Kings County; two daughters, Marilyn (Mrs. Larry Steele), Coldbrook; Marg Barkhouse, Debert; seven grandchildren; several stepbrothers and stepsisters; an aunt. He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Evelyn Barkhouse; sister, Flossie. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in H.C. Lindsay Memorial Chapel, Kentville, where funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Rev. Dr. Freeman Fenerty and Rev. Harold Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Scotts Bay Cemetery.
