MISNER, Terrence Richard Sr. - age 69, of Surrey, B.C. On Saturday, August 8, 2015, Terry passed away peacefully at home with family at his side following a lengthy battle with cancer. He is lovingly remembered by his family and survived by his wife, Donna (Faulkner); daughter, Lori (Robert Smith); sons, Terry Misner Jr. and Gordon Misner (Amanda); grandchildren, Megan Eagles, Nathaniel Smith and Madeleine Janice Misner (born August 18, 2015); sisters, Cheryl (Graham Weldon), Norma (Alvin Hunsley), and Sandra Galloway (Colin Howell); nephews, Patrick and Frank Trembley; as well as his newly-found biological Cook siblings in Hampton, N.B. He was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Iris Misner (Porter); brother, Keith; and eldest daughter, Janice Lorraine. Born in Woodside, Terry had a proud career in the Royal Canadian Navy. In 1981, he moved to British Columbia where he worked for BC Transit until his retirement in 2011. Terry enjoyed teaching and inspiring children at the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets Corps Bicknell in Richmond, B.C. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, September 13, from 1-3 p.m., in the Richmond Navy League Hall, 7411 River Rd., Richmond, B.C. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Education Foundation in Terry's honour would be greatly appreciated.
