Died: 16 Mar 1954, Italy Cross, Lunenburg Co., Nova Scotia

 

HENDERSON, Howard Allen - popular post master and mail carrier at Italy Cross, Lunenburg County passed away suddenly at his home on Tuesday morning March 16th, at the age of 40. He was born at Collingwood, Ont. in 1913, the son of Robert and the late Mrs. Henderson. He served in the Royal Canadian Navy during World War II. After he was invalided out of the service he settled in Nova Scotia where he was well-known throughout the County. He is survived by his wife, the former Kay Morgan of Bridgewater and by three children, Rene, Margaret and Jo Ann, and by his father Robert Henderson, one brother Earl of Sudbury, Ont. and a sister Dolly (Mrs. Herman MacMinn), of St. Catherine's, Ont. His mother and a brother and sister predeceased him. The funeral service will be held from Sweeny's Funeral home, Bridgewater at 2:30 Friday afternoon.
