Born: 24 Jan 1925

HICKSON, Charles Morris - It is with sadness that the family of Charles Hickson announces his passing on November 1st. Dad was a member of the Royal Canadian Navy Volunteer Reserve from April 1943 to October 1945. He was honourably discharged at the rank of Convoy Telegraphist (Coder). He always enjoyed being on the water, especially when he was fishing at Atton’s Lake. Dad, a psychiatric nurse, worked at the Saskatchewan Hospital for thirty-three years until his retirement. We will remember Dad for his gentleness, compassion and generosity. Charles was predeceased by his daughter Wendy Lutz. He will be forever missed by his children Tim Hickson (Katherine McPherson), Leslie (Jim) Legate, Randy (Jane) Hickson, Carol (Cary) Herschmiller and Tracy (Amy) Hickson, ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. In keeping with Charles’ wishes, there will be no funeral. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his name to the Canadian Cancer Society 1910 McIntyre St, Regina, SK S4P 2R3. The family would like to thank the staff at Harwood Manor for caring for Dad in the last stage of his life. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Vanessa Macnab of Eternal Memories Funeral Service.
