HENLEY, Wilfred B. - of Martin's Brook. Family, relatives and friends were shocked to hear of the passing of Wilfred B. Hanley at the Fishermen's Memorial Hospital after a 2 1/2 hour illness. He was a veteran of the Second World War, and served with the Royal Canadian Navy. He later moved to Mass., and worked as a building contractor for most of his life. He is survived by his wife the former Melba R. Lyon; a son Roger, Mass.; two brothers Archie and Clarence, both of Mass. Archie passed away two weeks later. He was predeceased by four sisters and five brothers. Funeral service was held at the Northwest Baptist Church on Friday, Aug. 2, 1985 at 2 p.m. Lic. Dale rose officiating. Pallbearers were members of the Royal Canadian Legion, and they all conducted a short service at the graveside. Interment at Northwest cemetery.
