Ross Ronald Adams

Master Seaman, RCN / C.A.F.

Died: 18 Oct 2019, Halifax, Nova Scotia

ADAMS, Ross Ronald - age 80, of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, just before midnight on October 18, 2019 in the Victoria General Hospital, QEII. Ross was a retired veteran of the Royal Canadian Navy where he served as a Master Corporal, followed by many years of service as a Commissionaire. He was an avid Blue Jays fan and loved travelling with his wife. Ross enjoyed making people laugh with his sarcastic, yet endearing sense of humour. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family throughout Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. Ross is survived by his daughter Heather Adams, Miramichi, N.B.; sons, Todd (Lesley) Adams, Moncton, N.B., Ron (Colleen) Adams, London, Ont.; step-sons, Jamie (Kathleen) Hoyt, Halifax, Jeff (Gillian) Hoyt, Dartmouth; grandchildren, Matthew (Shelby) Adams, Megan Adams (Dan), Amanda Adams, David Adams, Anderson Trider, Joey Adams, Kaitlin (Gabe) Hoyt, Jordan (Allison) Hoyt, Stephanie (Kelland) Henderson; great-grandchildren, Kyron, Shay, Dani, Poppy, Maeve, and Brayden. He was predeceased by his wife and best friend Carol (Randon) Adams. In accordance with Ross’ wishes, a private graveside service will be held in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. A special thank you to Debbie Hodges and Brian Forbes for their help and kindness over the past few years and to the staff of 6A at the Victoria General Hospital.
