STROUD, Richard - It is with sadness that the family of Richard Stroud, mourn the passing of Dick on Saturday, June 30, 2007 at Lanark Heights. He lived a long and exciting life. Dick is survived by his bride, Audrey, otherwise known as Skipper, to whom he was married for almost 66 years. He will also be missed by his two daughters, Heather McBride and Holly McGuire and her husband Dennis. He was loved by five grandchildren, Tim, Jason and his wife Joanna, Shelley and her husband Rodd, Laura and her husband Brett and Shannon, eight great-grandchildren, Matt, Abbey, Hannah, Celina, Carter, Elliott, Ryder and Cyrell in heaven. Special thanks to the wonderful staff at both Lanark Place and Lanark Heights and family physician Dr. Steve MacGregor. Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South in Waterloo, on Tuesday, July 3 (tonight) from 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at 3:00 pm. Expressions of sympathy can be made to the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre or Camp Oochigeas, a camp for children with cancer. In living memory of Dick, a tree will be planted through the Trees for Learning Program by the funeral home.
