CRONK, Benjamin Mannion (Ben) - 34, of Langford, Vancouver Island, BC formally, of Grand Manan, NB, passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 5, 2019 in Vancouver, BC. Ben was a Marine Engineer and had served with the Canadian Navy for more than nine years. He was currently employed with Amix Marine Services. From Grand Manan Island to Vancouver Island, Ben’s working life was spent on the water. Ben is survived by his wife, Amber (DeCecco) Cronk, of Langford, BC, his parents Ronald and Pamela (Mannion) Cronk, of North Head, Grand Manan, NB, his grandmother, Betty King, of North Head, two brothers Ian Cronk (Susie Rideout) of Fredericton, NB, Patrick Cronk (Ashley Harris) and their children Ryker and Kollyns of North Head; his aunts Claudia Mannion, of Parrsboro, NS, Marilyn Burke of Moncton, NB; two uncles Richard and Katharine Cronk, of North Head, Peter and Marilyn Cronk of North Head, his in-laws, Geoffrey and LeeAnn DeCecco of North Saarich, BC; cousins John Burke, Chris Burke, Jeff Cronk, Kim Power and special cousins, Rory and Duncan Cronk of Grand Manan. He will be missed by family and many friends Ben had made along his journey. There will be visitation on Friday, October 18, 2019 at Ells Funeral Home from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2019 from The Church of Ascension, North Head, Grand Manan, NB at 1:00 PM. Interment to follow in the North Head Community Cemetery. For those who wish, a donation in Ben’s memory can be made to the Charlotte County Cancer Society, The Grand Manan Animal Welfare League, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
