Died: 14 Mar 1999, Bridgewater, Lunenburg Co., Nova Scotia

 

TAYLOR, Rex Harold - 87, Bridgewater, died March 14, 1999, at home. Born in Bridgewater, he was a son of the late Hiram and Lydia (Wile) Taylor. He served in the Navy during the Second World War. Surviving are his wife, the former Charlotte "Lottie" Crouse; sons, Bruce, Ottawa; David, Houston, Tex.; John, Vancouver; four grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Wilbert, Harris, Glenwood; sisters, Violet, Edna, Blanche, Hattie. Memorial service 2 p.m. Thursday in Sweeny's Funeral Chapel, Bridgewater, Rev. James Slack officiating. No flowers by request. Donations to CAT scan fund; South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater or any charity. Rex is buried in the Dayspring Community Cemetery, Dayspring, Lunenburg Co., Nova Scotia.

 

Rex's brother, OS Glenwood Lawrence Taylor, RCNVR, died when his ship, HMCS RACCOON was torpedoed and sunk during the Second World War.
