Robert Vipond Narraway

 

Died: 22 Sep 2002, Ottawa, Ontario

 

NARRAWAY, Robert Vipond - "Gone home to be with our Lord" Passed away peacefully at home with family on Sunday, September 22, 2002. Beloved husband of Elaine Ford O'Brien, loving father of Teckla (Bob) Allen, Harold (Debbie), Robert (Teresa), Jerrald (Kerry) and Jeffery (Wendy) and step-father to Michael (Sheila), Terry (Giselle), Daniel (Denise) and Patty (Bob) Savage. Cherished grandfather of 27 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was the much loved brother of Ellaine Dickson and was predeceased by brothers Jack (Molly), Ellard (Bunty), Bill and sister Patricia and his first wife Maude Morton. Robert is survived by brothers-in-law Alfred (Denise) and Arthur (Thelma) Morton. Robert was an R.C.N. Veteran of W.W.II, founding member of the Ottawa Duck Club and Rideau Fish and Game Club. He was active all of his life in conservation. Friends may attend a Memorial Service to be held in Robert's honour at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue at Richmond Road on Friday, September 27, 2002 at 3 p.m. Reception to follow. The family wishes to thank Dr. Glinski, Veteran's Affairs, V.O.N. and Homecare. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Ottawa Duck Club.
