COX, Brian Alfred - 66, Brookdale Crescent, Dartmouth, died October 7, 1998, in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Swanscombe; England, he was a son of the late Alfred and Beatrice (Barnett) Cox. He was retired from the Canadian Armed Forces, Sea Element. He was a member of Royal Canadian Legion, Centennial Branch 160, Dartmouth and a member of the Submarine Old Comrades Association. Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth DeYoung; sons, John, Michael, Stephen. Portsmouth, England; John DeYoung, Halifax; David, Dana, Dartmouth; daughters, Anne McBrayne, Havant, England; Linda (Mrs. Robin Sutherland), Emsworth, England; Christine Powell, Bognor Regis, England; Denise (Mrs. Gordon MacDonald) Cornerbrook, Nfld.; 12 grandchildren. He was predeceased by son, David. Cremation has taken place under the direction of J. Albert Walker and Sons Funeral Home, Dartmouth. No visitation or memorial service at his request. Donations to Canadian Cancer Society.
