COX, Brian Alfred - 66, Brookdale Crescent, Dartmouth, died October 7, 1998, in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Swanscombe; England, he was a son of the late Alfred and Beatrice (Barnett) Cox. He was retired from the Canadian Armed Forces, Sea Element. He was a member of Royal Canadian Legion, Centennial Branch 160, Dartmouth and a member of the Submarine Old Comrades Association. Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth DeYoung; sons, John, Michael, Stephen. Portsmouth, England; John DeYoung, Halifax; David, Dana, Dartmouth; daughters, Anne McBrayne, Havant, England; Linda (Mrs. Robin Sutherland), Emsworth, England; Christine Powell, Bognor Regis, England; Denise (Mrs. Gordon MacDonald) Cornerbrook, Nfld.; 12 grandchildren. He was predeceased by son, David. Cremation has taken place under the direction of J. Albert Walker and Sons Funeral Home, Dartmouth. No visitation or memorial service at his request.
