Died: 27 Dec 2004, Kinsac, Nova Scotia

 

ORR, Charles Henry - 69, Kinsac, passed away on December 27, 2004, at his daughter's home. Born in Coldwater, Ont., he was a son of the late Foster and Caroline (Palmer) Orr. Charles served in the Royal Canadian Navy from 1955-1985 and with the Reserves at the Damage Control School from 1985-1990. He was a charter member of the Sackville Legion. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Rena Gertrude Joyce (Hobbs); his brothers, Gilbert and Edgar. He is survived by his daughter, Sharon "Sherry" Orr and his son, Richard "Rick" (Donna) Orr; brother, John (Lorraine) Orr, Coldwater, Ont.; sisters, Marion Barr, Coldwater Ont.; Gwen (Ellis) McEthron, Kilworthy, Ont.; Berniece Cooper, Orillia, Ont.; Sylvia (Bill) Cole, Orillia Ont.; Jean Orr, Coldwater, Ont.; Barbara Cormack, Newmarket, Ont.; grandchildren, Brandon, Kody and Kaitlyn. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be in the Sackville Legion, Sackville Crossroad, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, January 4. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 5, at 11 a.m. also in the Sackville Legion, reception to follow. Interment to follow in Oakridge Memorial Gardens on Old Sackville Road. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity or trust of choice. (Halifax Herald 31 Dec 2004)
