In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
LeBLANC, Robert Joseph (Bob) - age 84 of Bayswater, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2019 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater after a lengthy illness due to Parkinsons, asbestosis and other health complications from his time served in the Korean War. Born on August 11, 1934, he was a son of the late Joseph LeBlanc (of Sydney) and Gladys (Tutty) LeBlanc (Louisbourg). Bob is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Grace (Boutilier); his sons, Brent (Connie), John (Joanne Hay) and Ronald (Veronica); grandchildren, Shauna (Steve) Wekarchuk, Casey (Amanda), Carly (Keith Cull), Ryan (Traci), and Tyler; great-grandchildren, Kenzie and Mason Wekarchuk, Milly and Mack Cull. Bob is also survived by his loving sister, Margaret (Le-Blanc) Hutt, Main-A-Dieu Road, Cape Breton; brother, Keith, Chester; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents-in-law, John and Inez Boutilier; sisters, Betty Shaw (of Louisburg) and Mary (Toronto). After Bob retired from the Navy, he started R.J. LeBlanc Construction and later Bayswater Construction and ran them until his retirement. Bob was happiest when he was surrounded by his family and enjoyed many family times, at home, at the 'camp' and at the 'wharf.' It was Bob’s wish that there be no visitation or funeral. Cremation has taken place; a private family celebration of Bob’s life will take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to All Saints Anglican Church Cemetery, 3506 Hwy. 329, RR 1, Hubbards, NS B0J 1T0. The family would like to thank Olivia from Heart-to-Heart In-Home Care for the kindness and compassion shown to both Bob and Grace during these past months and for being such a good crib partner for Bob.
