SEDDON, Daniel John (Dan) - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dan Seddon. Dan passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, after a valiant battle with cancer. Dan was born in Welland , Ont. July 4th, 1944. He was the only son of the late Phylliss (Meehan) and William Seddon. Dan was a proud member of the RCN, he spent many years at sea in different capacities. Dan had a good heart, and the well being and safety of his family was his primary concern. He lived life simply and did his best wherever he could. He was always ready with a helping hand. He was proud of his friendship with Bill Wilson and Dr. Bob, he was so proud of his children and his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 48 years the former Linda Horne, children Wanda Kanasevich, Dan Seddon (Crystal), Boone Seddon (Laura )grandchildren, Richard Kanasevich , Caileigh Kanasevich, Jonathan Seddon, Chase & Laurana Willison, and great grandson Jakiv Kanasevich. Survived also by his in laws Darlene Westhaver, Paul, George and Ron Lambert, as well as his his beloved nieces and nephews. He has a sister Lynn who went missing in 1980 the mystery has never been solved, hopefully, Dan will now know what happened to his dear sister. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Vicky, son-in-law Dennis Kanasevich, nephew Alex Lambert and mother in law Rita Lambert. Many thanks to the wonderful nurses of the VON, and Palliative Care. And for the support, love and hands on help from family, thanks for the prayers and support of friends and the CWL of our wonderful Parish at Blessed Pope John XXIII. Cremation has taken place, no visitation or flowers by request. Memorial Mass at Blessed Pope John Paul XXIII, Colby Drive in Colby Village on Tuesday July 23rd, at 12 Noon. Reception to follow in church hall. Family only interment to follow at Heritage Oak Columbarium. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Charity of choice, or building fund for BPJPXXIII Arrangements entrusted to Dartmouth Funeral Home, Queen St. (Researched by George Newbury)
