SAWYER, Joseph Felix - In loving memory of Joseph Felix Sawyer, 78 years, who passed away Friday afternoon, February 20th, 2004 at the Elizabeth Centre, Val Caron. Dear son of Phillip Joseph and Margaret Elizabeth (Kirwin) Sawyer both predeceased. Beloved husband of Mary Catherine Sawyer (Pickett) of Capreol. Loving father of Theresa Brisson (Ray) of Sault Ste Marie, Brian (Donna) of Sudbury, Margaret Richer (Rheal) of Capreol and Bernadette Bonk (David) of Ottawa. Cherished grandfather of Heidi, Raymond, Wendy (friend Jason), Kirk (wife Tanya), Keith (wife Ronda), Jeffrey (friend Shauna), Lisa, Heather, Jessica and great grandchildren Michael and Jeramy. Dear brother of Bert (wife Joan) Manitoulin Island, Doreen Conron (husband Stan) Fort Erie, Maurice (wife Joan) Sudbury, Verna Martin (husband Stan), Joyce Sweezey (husband Ronnie deceased), special friend Bob Greene, Velma Degagne (husband Leo), Margaret Plexman (husband Tye) all of Capreol, Faye Zeitz (deceased) (husband Bernie), Michael (wife Karen) South River, Patrick (deceased). Sadly missed by sister-in-law Janet Newman (husband Michael) of Capreol. Dear friend Dolores Sawyer of Capreol. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Born in Coniston, he married Mary in Capreol in 1947. He retired as a locomotive engineer with C.N.R. with 45 years of service. He served with the Royal Canadian Navy overseas during World War II and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 179 Capreol for over 50 years. Resting at the Lougheed Funeral Home, Hanmer/Capreol Chapel, 4605 Michelle Dr., Hanmer. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Peace Church, Capreol, Monday February 23rd, 2004 at 11 am. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. A memorial service will be held 7:30 pm Sunday under the auspices of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 179, Capreol. Prayers 4:45 pm Sunday.
