Died: 26 Dec 1985, Halifax, Nova Scotia, age 66

 

VEINOT, Frank M. - 66, of 2572 Beech Street, Halifax, died Thursday in Victoria General Hospital. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late George and Grace (Hubley) Veinot. He was awarded the British Empire Medal during service as a member of Royal Canadian Naval Volunteer Reserve during the Second World War. He was a general contractor after the war and a member of Armdale Kiwanis. He served as a co-leader of YMCA youth groups. He was a life-member of the Mayflower Curling Club. He is survived by his wife, the former Margaret Durling; a daughter, Joy Veinot Murray, Edmonton; two grandsons; two sisters, Annie Currie and Helen Veinot, both of Halifax; two brothers, Spencer, Bedford; Jackie, Halifax. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday in Oxford Street United Church, Rev. Robert Johnson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Oxford Street United Church.
