Born: 04 May 1930          Died: 02 Nov 2015

 

ACHESON, Ronald - passed away on November 2, 2015. Ron, the eldest of 8, was born on May 4, 1930. He was predeceased by his wife Joyce and his son Ronald Jr. He is survived by his partner Arlene, his daughters Leslie (Ron Crouse), Colleen (Bruce Brown) & Laura (Donald MacDonald), daughter-in-law Bev Fearnehough, 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters, 2 brothers and their families. Ron served as a chief petty officer and diver with the Royal Canadian Navy and saw active duty in Korea. Over the years, Ron wore many hats while working in Ocean Falls, the lower mainland and until retirement, as manager of the Sunshine Coast Golf & Country Club. He was a wonderful father, had a great sense of humour, loved to meet people and spent much of his time helping others. So Dad, you "just rest your eyes" now. Forever in our hearts. There will be a celebration of life at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 28th at the home of Laura Acheson and Donald MacDonald, 539 Reed Road, Gibsons (Vancouver Sun 07 Nov 2015)
