BAKER, William C. - The death of the late William Baker occurred Thursday Oct. 29, 1970 at Camp Hill Hospital, Halifax. Born in Liverpool in 1911, he was the son of the late Robert and Florence Baker. He served with the R.C.N. in the second world war. He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife, Edith, two sons William Dennis, Liverpool and John Robert, Toronto, four daughters, Rita (Mrs. Boardman Hunt) Greenfield; Donna (Mrs. Allen Hatt); Marjorie (Mrs. Mervin MacNutt) of Liverpool and Janice at home. One daughter predeceased him in 1957. Also, three sisters Margaret (Mrs. Basil Conrad); Eleanor (Mrs. Douglas Fox) of Liverpool, Pauline (Mrs. Harold Davis) of Queensland, Halifax Co. One brother Roland of New Glasgow and seven grandchildren. The funeral service was held Saturday afternoon from Trinity Anglican Church with Archdeacon C. R. Elliott officiating. Interment was in the family plot at Trinity Anglican Cemetery. Pallbearers were members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 38. (Researched by George Newbury)
