MARTIN, John Henry - Peacefully, at Dover Cliffs LTC, Port Dover on Sunday, June 3, 2018. Jack Martin, of Jarvis, was in his 92rd year. Beloved husband for 48 years of Jaceulin (nee Williams). Predeceased by his parents Frederick and Maude; his siblings, Phyllis Meyers, Don, Eleanor Dosser and Lloyd. Stepfather of Clifford and Judi Dosser of Cheapside and Douglas Newton of Mississauga. Grandfather of Angie (Adam) Smuck, Justin (Rhiannon) Dosser, Paul (Meaghan) Dosser, Jocelyn (Amory Ramroop), Kara (Brandon) Jackman; and great-grand father of 12 great-grandchildren. Brother-in-law of Shirley Martin of R.R. 1, Jarvis. Jack was a veteran of R.C.N serving in W.W. II, a member of R.C.L. Branch 164, Hagersville, a long-time member of Jarvis I.O.O.F. for 71 years, D.D.G.M. of Long Point District 18 in 1966-67, long-time manager of Jarvis Intermediate Fastball, Jarvis Chevies, Jarvis Jills as well as many hockey teams. Jack received the Olympic Male Sportsman Award in 1988. Funeral Service for Jack will be held at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Jarvis, on Friday, June 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Paul's Anglican Church Cemetery.
