HARVEY, William Edward - 87, Dartmouth, died July 11, 1996, in Veteran's Memorial Building, Camp Hill Medical Centre. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Peter Thomas and Catherine (Norris) Harvey. He served on convoy duty with the RCNVR during the Second World War. Later he worked at HMC Dockyard, Halifax, and later at NAD in Dartmouth until his retirement. He was an original member of St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church and was a member of the choir. He was a 4th degree member of Knights of Columbus Council 3133, Dartmouth and was financial secretary for 26 years. Surviving are daughters, Ann (Mrs. Doug Johnson), Middle Stewiacke; Sandra (Mrs. John Slor), Ardith (Mrs. Roy Sheppard), Dartmouth; son, Allan and wife Verna, St. John's, Nfld.; sister, Winifred Frowd, Halifax; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Ina Deyarmond; twin sons, John and Joseph in infancy; brothers, Albert and Bernard in infancy. Visitation 7-9 p.m. tonight, 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Sunday in Dartmouth Funeral Home, 29 Queen St. Funeral 10 a.m. Monday in St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, Dartmouth, Rev. Paul Williams officiating. Burial in Riverside Cemetery, Upper Stewiacke. Family flowers only by request. Donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or Camp Hill Medical Centre, Veteran's Memorial Building.
