COX, Percy Wallace - 94, 206 York St, Lunenburg died December 3, 1995 in F.M. Hospital, Lunenburg. Born in Harrington Harbour, Que., he was the son of the late James & Priscilla (Anderson) Cox. He served during the Second World War with the R.C.N. and went on to serve with Custom Services and the RCMP where he was chief steward on various marine vessels until his retirement. He was a member of R.C.L. Br 23, Lunenburg, RCMP Veteran's Association and a member of Central United Church, Lunenburg. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Mable Berringer; sisters, Dorothy, Martha; brothers William, Frederick. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 Wednesday in Dana L. Sweeny's Funeral Home, Lunenburg. Rev. Vincent Ihaz officiating. Burial in Hillcrest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to Central United Church, Veteran's Unit of Fishermen's Memorial Hospital or any charity. (Halifax Herald, 05 Dec 1995 / Researched by George Newbury)
