Stephen David Clark

 

DEMS Gunner, V65297, RCNVR

 

Stephen enlisted in the RCNVR in 1943. After 6 weeks training in Winnipeg, MB, the then was drafted to Victoria, BC, where he trained as a gunner for the Defensively Equipped Merchant Ships (DEMS). He served in several merchant ships including SS Queens Park and SS Tabiotic Park and sailed to England, Australia, Ceylon, Bombay, Calcutta, and Africa.  Stephen married Margaret Warnock in 1947 and raised a family of 7 children. After Margaret's passing in 2005, he moved to Minnedosa, MB.
